Biblioteca Classense, Disegni e Stampe
Ravenna
The collection is made up of circa 10,000 prints and drawings, received mostly after the suppression of religious bodies, but also by legacy, donation or acquisition. Of particular relevance are the hagiographic documentation concerning the Camaldolese order and the rare collection of fifteenth-century sacred woodcuts. The iconographical collections are also of great importance for documenting the territory and the artistic heritage of Ravenna.
In the last years of the twentieth century, a new corpus of printed games, including the Bini-Carboni playing cards collection, has been added to the heritage of the library.
